Dan has advised start-ups in the cannabis space and has assisted mature legal cannabis operations in other states with their litigation needs in New York. Dan has been a featured speaker on the state of New York cannabis law in both live events and various other media. Dan has been ranked in various publications and industry websites as one of the top legal practitioners in the New York cannabis industry.
From 2018 through 2021 Dan was an “18b” panel member in Nassau County, providing criminal defense services to the indigent when Legal Aid was unable to do so. In this role, Dan provided legal services to the indigent for a variety of charges, including cannabis offenses, at no cost to the accused.Dan was a criminal prosecutor for Nassau County from 2014 – 2016.While attending law school, Dan was a member of the Gulf Recovery network, providing free legal services to the indigent and disabled in New Orleans, LA. Dan was also a member of the Federal Appellate Criminal Clinic, which provided representation at the appellate level for the indigent. Currently, Dan frequently volunteers his time contributing to educating the public on the MRTA, through various written and speaking engagements.

Sandy Milord, Esq.

Advisor; Compliance Focus

Sandy is a well-rounded compliance and legal professional with deep experience in public service, having held positions in the Nassau County District Attorney’s office, New York City Law Department, and the Port Authority. During her tenure in private practice, Sandy continued to represent municipalities with their legal needs. She is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, Georgia, and before the Supreme Court of the United States. Sandy will assist Gotham with their development of compliance, safety, local government, and community outreach protocols.

A firm believer in giving back to the community, Sandy has provided extensive (and successful) pro bono legal efforts during her time in private practice. Sandy has volunteered her time in a variety of ways beyond pro bono, from volunteering in soup kitchens, to assisting the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, where she held the position of Vice Chair of the LGBTQ+ Division in 2020-2021.

Nicole Strk

Advisor; Health and Wellness Focus

Nicole holds a Master’s of Teaching degree in Physical Education, and has been certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Specialist since 2001. Nicole has deep experience as a personal trainer providing holistic and effective assistance in helping her clients find natural solutions to a multitude of ailments. Nicole works closely with clients to develop personalized health and fitness plans. She provides clients with advice on nutrition as well as engaging clients about fitness needs, giving them feedback and keeping track of their development. Her career as a physical trainer has enabled her to assist athletes to improve their athletic performance. She has also had the opportunity to work with clients confronting health issues such as obesity and diabetes. Nicole will bring this experience to assist Gotham in ensuring the highest quality goods are producedand assisting with ensuring Gotham’s products are the result of health and wellness considerations.
Nicole and her family routinely hold fundraisers for the Brookville Center for Children’s Services. Nicole is an active donor to the American College of Sports Medicine, Vietnam Veterans of America, Lupus Foundation of America, and the National Marfan Foundation. Nicole has coached the Junior Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team at Garden City High School since 2007. As a result of the positive impact that physical activity and fitness has had on her life, Nicole remains passionate about the opportunities that she has as a personal trainer to educate and bring health and fitness into the lives of many.

Mauricio Vides

Mauricio brings to Gotham’s advisory board over a decade of experience developing best-in-class websites and assisting small business develop their e-commerce presence. As the owner of WebDesignYou, Mauricio has fully developed the web presence of hundreds of small businesses. Mauricio will assist Gotham with establishing a best in class and accessible website, web presence, and internal tech stack.
Mauricio’s entire career has been dedicated to assisting small businesses, beyond the services of his business. To this end, Mauricio has been an active participant in local Chambers of Commerce, including multi-year tenures as Board Member on both the Mineola and Westbury Chamber of Commerce. Mauricio is an active participant in building and developing networking groups on Long Island to spur development and collaboration between small business owners.
